I repeat to myself several times a day “god make me a bird so I can fly away.” This line from Forrest Gump is a sentence that I repeat many times a day in my head. Does anyone else have a sentence they say to themselves? A mantra of sorts?

The lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear. Or sometimes, the lord is my shepherd. I find myself repeating these short phrases while driving or when having anticipation anxiety.

Nope. Should be a question, “whom shall I fear?” In context it means he’s got my back. Psalm 27 I think.

Luna_Child!!!! I think I got a sign last night from my dad! You told me to research. To learn signs. Something happened right before my research... and then I saw in my research that’s a sign! You were sent to me to teach me this. I’m forever grateful

When I am overwhelmed, anxious, struggling or just having a bad day, this helps to ground me. At the end of the day, the only thing we can do is try to be the best version of ourselves....to be someone that I love and I understand. Doesn't matter what the people around me think, it just matters what I think. It took me a long time to learn that.

Also, for me, this song is my favorite song and Shinedown is my favorite band. Hearing the lyrics brings me back to seeing them in concert and hearing the entire crowd sing this song. It was my happy place.
