My son has ADHD and Anxiety. Today he had an appointment in ZOOM with his doctor. The doctor asked me how my son was doing and if I want that he continue with his medicine in order to prescribe more. The appointment are always like this.
I get always very mad and disappointed of the doctors because that makes me feel like they just do what I said instead of using his professional knowledge and opinion to tell me what my son needs before asking me what do I want.
Sometimes my own appointment are like this too.
I do not know if I am overreacting or if I am right with my idea. Do someone of you could tell me if you have the same kind of appointments before to be prescribed with more medicine or yours are more professional looking.

Yep!! Same here! My appointments are always like 3-4 minutes with my np. I believe they are supposed to be 15 minutes. They do anything to get you off the phone! Do they really care? Well mine doesn't. Doesn't even get back to me between appointments when I have texted him several times with a question! 😡😡
Many good Doctors like to carry patients by asking their advice on treatment concerns. He is facilitating the patient to discuss or question the reasons for the treatment plan especially if the appointment was over the telephone.Patients do have their own ideas or expectations on how they wish to proceed.
Remember the relationship between Doctor and Patient is a partnership between the two of you. This is the relationship is important and it shows your Doctor is listening to you and is keen to work with you and health concerns

If the medicine suits patient it is very good and can be prescribed again that is why they ask
