Hello I am new here. I am having major anxiety about covid. My boyfriend who I live with and I have a slight cough and a bit of congestion. I went and got us each 4 covid tests and they were all negative. Now my 18 year old daughter says her throat is a little sore. I heard there are colds going around. I am feeling waves of anxiety wash over me, especially at night. Anyone have a similar experience? Or can offer any words of comfort?

It’s understandable to feel anxiety during these crazy times. My husband works out of town for two weeks at a time. When he came home last week, he was fine but then started to feel ill a couple of days ago. He had itchy eyes, a runny nose and was sneezing. He was tested for Covid and we just got the result today: negative. We are thankful. I just feel like if we all take care of ourselves, social distance, wear our masks and look out for each other, we will be fine. Yes, other bugs are still circulating because we are spending so much more time indoors (at least where I live as it’s winter and cold)! Just keep taking care. Your Covid tests were negative. Keep doing what you’re doing.
It's well documented that the most common symptoms of covid are a new bad continuous cough and a fever. Other symptoms are feeling very tired, lack of taste and smell.
Covid is a scary thing. I can understand being concerned. Hopefully the tests are correct and it is not covid and just a common cold.
I think you guys are ok. My daughter has been exposed to Covid a number of times and even had to quarantine with her fiancé who had Covid and she didn’t get it. She did have a fever and a sore throat that didnt last but a couple of days and has gotten tested a handful of times but was negative every time. Don’t worry. Sounds like you are ok. I’m worried cause I’m having to take deep breaths for no reasons at all but that’s the only symptom I have so I’m assuming it’s anxiety. It’s terrible!
I can totally understand that. This Covid malarkey has made so many people anxious. It’s probably just the usual winter cold. If you’re doing all the hand washing, sanitising, etc then you’re minimising your risk of contracting Covid.
That’s all we can do! Let’s hope it’s all over with in 2021.
