This may sound like a strange question

Can a member start a group or does that have to be done by the administration, et.. Just curious. Thanks to anyone who knows the answer!

Hi you can't start an official group using someone else's site, but you can start your own unofficial one in pm if you wish. We did have a member a couple of years ago though who carried this to extremes with around a dozen groups with a hundred or so members. They jumped on new members inviting them to join and syphoned quite a few off. They said they wanted to counsel them even though they didn't have any qualifications. Admin took a dim view of this and soon stopped it.There is nothing wrong with having your unofficial group in pm though and letting others know it is a shared interest group. I believe there are (or were) a religious one here for those with a shared interest for example. Good luck.

I had a quick look and can't find a current one either. I looked on fb and there does seem to be quite a few on there so maybe that's the only option?

I hate Facebook even though I'm a member there. It always makes my depression worse!!! Thank you for responding!! I really do appreciate it.
