I know this isn't about anxiety, but I'm desperate for help. I found out I have a herniated disk and the pain is getting worse by the day. It is causing me anxiety because I'm useless and have to ask for help. It's so embarrassing! I've never dealt with back pain like this. I had to call out of work today. Any advice?

Hey, first of all I'm sorry, because that sucks, back pain is no joke. After your diagnosis, did a health care provider help you what the next steps are for treatment? In the meantime, are you able to take any pain meds that take the edge off a little?
My Primary doctor gave me a referral to an orthopedic doctor and prescribed me Tramadol. I've been using lots of IcyHot, Ice, ibuprofen, and a heating pad. Not sure what else to do.
