i've never had sleep paralysis before but I know that it can be pretty frightening when it happens. i would suggest to you meditation or breathing exercises to calm you down before you sleep along with starting a regular sleep schedule. it would also help to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep every day but I know for a lot of us that can be a hard thing to do.

i get that, sometimes just taking a breather can help and guided meditation definitely can have soothing effects. definitely try it before you sleep or take melatonin

It’s a common thing. Nothing to be worried about. I’ve experienced every type of parasomnia from sleep paralysis to sleep walking, REM behavioural disorder, hypnagogic hallucinations, all of it. I sleep walk quite regularly, will even act out or carry on conversations with others while asleep. What I know is that it’s genetic but it also effected by alcohol , eating late at night, and sleep deprivation. If you have reason to believe you might have sleep apnea, you should check that out, if that out as well

Question: Do you fight monsters or like horror people in your dream?

I’ve acted out nightmares before. I’ve scared the hell out of girlfriends, friends. I can’t stay in a hotel room with others for this reason, etc
