Looking for a friend
Hi Cheshire_Cat7 and Welcome We may be real but we are incognito on this site.
It helps us not feel so alone with our illness. We do have your best interest at heart even
if you don't know who we are. This is a safe site to come and talk with others who may even
relay with you.
Being told to be on meds must be a consensual agreement between you and your doctor.
I can understand in how you find it almost comforting to have friends that others can't see.
They did come out for a reason and that reason may not have been addressed yet. When the
time is right, you will know whether to choose meds or not.
Meanwhile, I'd like to Welcome you here. You couldn't have picked a better site to find people who care and want to support others. We understand what it's like to feel different
than the general population. Although right now, with the Pandemic going on, we all seem to
be in our own state of survival. I'm glad you are here with us new friend. xx
Hi there.
I don't know why your parents said that, but I think it is good you're here. Many of us are looking for friends, or at least people who will understand our pain.
I’m not sure what their definition of a “real” friend is but if you’re looking for people who are supportive, this is a good place to look. 😁 Friends, at least in my opinion, isn’t just someone to be with to help kill time. It’s more about their intentions for you. If they are genuinely looking out for your best interest.
My mother was paranoia schizophrenic with bipolar seeing demons always, that were threatening to attack her 5 children..
She hid this well and did such an incredibly good job of raising all of us...
I am eternally grateful for her doing such a really great job..
Look at me now, Mom in Heaven. !!
I’m Happy now, because of you...

Hi Catman. Your Mom reminds me of my grandmother, who along with my amazing grandfather raised my brother and me after losing my Mom at 4 1/2. She had depression, anxiety, and a bunch of serious chronic health conditions but put it all aside to love us and give us a great childhood. She always told us that she would go “to the top of the highest mountain” for us. And she did. To borrow from Carly and you, nobody did it better.....
I’m convinced that we just don’t give our patents enough credit for all they did for us.
👨👩👧👦
hi and a warm welcome to you.
