The past few years I have been struggling with depression and feeling like everything I do is wrong. It comes in waves and some weeks are better than others. Recently I got less than good medical results back and had to start a full diet with intermittent fasting. I struggle with my weight and I already have gastrointestinal issues limiting what I can eat, so the diet cut that down further. I also had to start eating foods that aggravate my stomach and make me feel sick. Since starting the diet I have been feeling low energy, more depressed than usual and tired all the time. I'm new to this site (therapist recommended) and I am not sure what to expect, but if anyone has gone through something similar I would love some suggestions. Or just to know I'm not alone...Thanks

Struggling with Depression and Diet
What is the new diet and how does it differ from what you were doing before?
Suggest platejoy. They plan menus and shopping lists based you your preferences. They have low carb, low fat options. I suggest them because it takes most decision out of meals. You just order or shop for your groceries and then cook it. Much cheaper than a meal kit or even prepackaged stuff.
I am curious if the nutritionist prescribed the diet. Low energy could mean you are not balanced enough. Seems like you are switching between diets that do not have variety
I am struggling with endless food restrictions too. You are not alone. Yes, it feels like one can’t get a darn thing right. I wish I could offer advice, but I’m in the same boat, so can only let you know you have company. My mother use to like to say “patience is virtue.” Her wisdom may apply here.
