So, my therapist finally gave me a diagnosis!

I have a personality disorder according to my therapist, didn't say what type is it yet, but I think I have a clue.

Anyone knows about this disorder? please help me better understand it by giving any helpful data about it :) Thank you.

Have a great day everyone.

Which one of these do you ‘think’ you have. I would be asking your therapist exactly what he/she has classified you as having. Treatment and management is going to vary.

Paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal, antisocial, borderline, histrionic, narcissistic, avoidant, dependent and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.

My therapist didn't tell me which type yet, after reading about them, I think I have the histrionic type. many of them felt close to my personality, but I think histrionic is the closest.

Hi, histrionic is a word that means theatrical or dramatic. Histrionic personality disorder is a type of mental disorder that affects one's relationships and behaviors.

hi I was told by a psychoanalyst, when in my late 20s that I too was a H.p d. and to look it up in my reading ,;then it was named Hysterical ,by Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis------Now its Histrionic, not so explicit that was about 50 yrs ago---it can also depend on the severity of the disorder, but you seem quite well balanced and understand the terminology-hope you are well during lockdown ect.!

Sure❤️, to me, the most difficult part is to relate to people and feel them, not always of course!! but it happens... can you tell me more about your discoveries..? message me and tell me all about it❤️
