I was wondering if anyone who suffers from anxiety and / or agoraphobia would like to become friends. I would like to make new friends so we can help each other get through hard times and work as a team to overcome these illnesses. Please just shoot me a message (:

Friend
I am so sorry you are facing the horror that agoraphobia is! I have battled it on and off but only once (in my early twenties) where I could not leave my house at all, even to check the mail. Life is hard without the added stress of emotional/mental battles to face daily.
Then you have the fallout of it all. I hope that in some small way i can help you feel less alone with what you are facing.
Please feel free to message me anytime if you have questions on how to cope with the daily struggle. Or just need someone who understands to vent too. Sometimes we need advice other times we just need to be heard. I personally believe that most mental health struggles stem from Trauma And/Or imbalances chemically in the brain. Our bodies (mostly I mean our Brain/Soul/Our Inner Self) are so complex. Sensitive even. I think that one of the things trauma does is it silences our true self. When we are overwhelmed we can only focus on surviving not thriving. We tend to loose the voice we should have had or had at one time. We cant focus on the "good" things cause we are trying to cope with the threats we are facing. That threat can be in the physical world or our mind or an combination of the two. I think as woman (this is my reality so this is my understanding) we have been battling messages and influences to get us to doubt or silence our voices our whole lives. Sources that shift blame or self doubt into our beings and then that becomes a foundation we have to break up the older we get. The lies tend to drown out the truth. the self blame can be louder than the accomplishments. The bad can beat us up so much the good becomes veiled or not even there anymore. Fear can freeze us into place.
