Very hard time

I am so anxious and depressed. I feel like I can’t handle it anymore. I am never calm or happy. I’m always exhausted. I need some hope. I feel like I am going crazy and barely hanging on.

What are some of the things you are feeling depressed and anxious about. You can message me and just chat/vent if you'd like. Your post is very generic and I'm willing to listen and help

I am anxious about everything. Socializing, going places, being alone, I don’t have a job because of anxiety and depression. I have tried everything imaginable and I have been like this for 6 years on and off. I haven’t had a job for 2 years and these past 2 years have been really hard. I’m so scared that I will never get better.

You will get better. Do you have any friends or family that you can talk to? The only way to work through anxiety is to talk about it. Holding it in is not going to help. It just keeps you mind telling you negative things. I believe anyone can find a job....i know jobs are hard to find right now and I'm not saying it will be easy. You just have to find the job for you. Do you have any hobbies; games, music, tv,etc?

Hello

I’m been like you for more than 2 years. I was unable to work because of my condition. I’m scared .... I won’t be able to be ok again. I really can relate....

Once brain neurotransmission is in a mess, I really understand “recovery is so slow” Im on Prozac 40mg. Are you on any med?

26 meds... it sounds a lot. Nothing was effective?. Didn’t you suffer withdrawal symptoms?. My severe depression started PAWS from Lexapro.

You will get better. Please tell yourself that because it’s gonna make you feel better. Just keep telling yourself everyday “I can do this, I will get better”

You’re such a strong person and you’re dealing with a lot. Please be gentle with yourself💕 Sending you hugs 🤗

I know how you feel. Try to find something to distract you from your negative thoughts. Have you tried any meds for your depression/anxiety?

That's a lot to try obviously. Did you try MAOIs like Phenelzine? How did you find them?

I never heard of that actually. Phenelzine?

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Phenelzine/Nardil; Tranylcypromine/Parnate.

They are reported to work well, in some cases of treatment resistant depression and anxiety.

They disable your bodies own ability to break down neurotransmitters.

I know. I've tried a lot of meds. Nothing seemed to help so I stopped a while. Now I'm back on the roller coaster again trying some I never tried. So far no relief. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi- I’m so sorry you are going through a rough time. Please stay strong. Keep sharing, we are here for you.

Do you have a friend that you can talk to? or feel free to talk to us anytime. You have mentioned that you are off from your medication for 6 months, consult with your doctor so he/she can advise you if you need to continue your medication.

I have a sister who was diagnosed with anxiety and her support group has been a big help in improving her mood. She volunteers, has pets and she loves gardening. It’s a big help. Try to do things that you will enjoy, it will help you not to focus on your situation. I hope you will find the job that you need and you will feel better soon, praying for you. Keep us posted. God bless.

Thank you for replying! I actually do art and I have a puppy and I love gardening and exercising...well I use to. I have been trying to do the things I use to love and push through every day. Just some days I feel like I really can’t do it anymore.

Hey, this might be the worst time for you from a lot of viewpoints, but there still is a viewpoint that makes the situation positive and full of learning but you will only be able to realize that if you change your perspective and change the way you have interpreted this situation.

Trust me, it is all about how you visualize a situation which makes it positive or negative.

Dealing with depression and anxiety is tough but think about how this time is the perfect time to look within and find answers to all your problems. We usually look for solutions from the outside world for our problems but isn't it a fact and the ultimate truth that all answers lie within you. All you need to do is keep asking WHY. Each and every moment is the perfect time to learn something new, give yourself some time off and just relax. Look at the positive side and the moment you accept it, you will feel happy.

All of this is something that I have tried and they have worked and I by no means want to keep this with me.

For the same, I started a community on Facebook recently named RealTalk recently. Based on my experiences, I have also made a PDF containing different ways that worked for me and why they worked. You can access the PDF on the group and the group itself through this link bit.ly/2ELefqH

I hope I was able to add some value to your life and it definitely would be great to connect with you in the RealTalk community. Would love to see you there.
