Strange dreams influencing your life

Has anybody had experiences with strange dreams that have come true or have been an indication of something in your life? In the past I have had metaphorical dreams which have translated into real situations in my life. Some which have indicated danger and prevented it from happening. I'm very much intrigued with this subject that dreams influence your real life existence. What do you guys think dreams are thoughts from our subconscious or guidance from a higher spiritual realm? Please do share experiences.

I don't know what to believe about that. It's been a long time since I've remembered a dream of mine, and I tend to remember bad dreams more than I remember good ones. I've heard of keeping a notebook near your bed and writing down your dreams in the morning if you remember them.

I’ve experienced a few instances of de ja vu, these weren’t earth shattering, life saving or life altering. My dream recall has never been good. Today, I don’t even remember dreaming at all, but I also don’t sleep in complete cycles like my younger years, older I get my sleep architecture changes.

I believe dreams are manifestations of our subconscious, I don’t believe dreaming happens outside our physical brain, are anything derived by a higher power. I think maybe they could be reality checks but I don’t put a bunch of emphasis on dreaming really.

Yes. I've done this multiple times. And it's freaky, nonetheless. So I dream about my boring mundane everyday life. And have had so many instances of that. Then I have dreams, usually not good, that come to fruition. So basically it's pretty cool, but it sucks at the same time. As one person said something about deja Vu, I experience that too, usually multiple times a week. That freaks me out more than the dreams, because it always stops me in my tracks. Either way I have some crazy stories about dreams, and even visions or feelings I've gotten, that came true.

One time, I had a dream where I was watching a film called Around the World in 80 Faiths. In the morning, I was skimming through the resources section of an old textbook and found a documentary with the same title. I decided to watch it, and some of what I saw was exactly what I saw in my dream. The way I interpreted this, I was supposed to watch that documentary and learn about different religions from around the world.
