I have been monitoring my blood pressure at home for the past week and have observed that it is persistently low. Today's reading was 72/41. Should I be concerned? Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Should I be concerned about my blood pressure?
Please see you doctor sooner rather than later. Nobody here is qualified to diagnose why your b.p. is low but a doctor will put you in the picture relieving you of speculation and ensuring you live a long and healthy life. So do it as a priority. One thing, are you sure your bp machine isn't faulty? Please let us know what the doc says.
Thank you Jeff for your reply. I have been using the Braun ExactFit3 blood pressure monitor which I bought very recently, and it is functioning well. I have only spoken to one person other than my parents in 3 1/2 years. I am not sure if consulting my doctor will be possible, but I will try. Thank you once again, your advice was immensely helpful.
Are you saying that you experience social anxiety? There is a whole world on interesting people out there waitng to enrich your life.
But first things first. Your bp meter sounds fine. So that does mean you nerd to consult your doctor and maybe agree to some tests. Will your Mum and Dad be able to help you, perhaps by explaining the position to your doctor and asking if he can do a house call to see you.
He will be an expert at taking blood pressure and will make sure your reading is accurate. If you do have low pressure he or she will be able to prescribe a medication that will raise your bp and this will make you feel the best you have been for ages.
There are people here who you can also talk through your problem in meeting people. It's the first small step towards engaging with people who you will find interesting and supportive.
But you must take the first step and that includes talking to your doctor on the phone.
Get back to us if there are any problems. You can do it if you try, believe me Capybara. Wishing you strength and good luck. Jeff.
