Hello everyone. this is my first post here and I am not 8n a good place at the moment. My anxiety has gone through t(e roof due to some strange symptoms which popped up two weeks ago (pins and needles, fatigue and burning feelings randomly round my body)
As a result of this I can barely eat. I can swallow liquids ok but when it comes to solids it catches on my gag reflex and makes me feel sick. I’ve been like this for a week now and it’s truly awful. I can feel my body getting weaker by the day.
Doesn’t anyone have any advice on how I can get some big calories in without having to eat solids? If I can just increase my calorie intake everyday I’m hoping gradually I’ll start to improve.
Thank you for reading.

For more than two years, I've had a similar problem -- though much worse because I also struggle with liquids now -- and what has helped me is a daily (or as much as I can consume) combination of Ensure nutritional shakes (specifically Ensure Plus and Ensure Enlive), prune juice, fruit smoothies, and yogurt/protein smoothies.
Thank you for your reply. God that’s awful for you! It’s only been a week for me and that’s bad enough. I will look into these meal replacement shakes until the nausea eases. I’m pretty sure being starving cause nausea also so it really is a vicious circle.
I was in A&E on Saturday and told them but I think they were putting it down to anxiety. I’ve managed to eat a banana blended in almond milk, tangerine and carrot sticks this morning. I do feel I’m slowly improving.
