Citlopram and Lorazepam

I've felt mentally worse past few weeks, i don't know of its my anxiety/depression etc or the new meds. I started them the 8th of june

I don’t know. Meds take up to 6 weeks for them to be noticeably effective. I see your taking lorazepam, this is a long acting benzo, it kept me fairly low and unmotivated even after the therapeutic action tapered down, I say this because we all react to different meds differently.

So, If you are feeling worse, side effects are too bothersome, call your doctor. Nothing we advise here can ever take the place of the guidance and help of your doctor.

Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine, there are shorter acting ones and long acting ones. Sorry didn’t mean to confuse you.

How long have you been on the medication? Do you take Lorazepam often?

Lorazepam and citalopram since 8th of June. I take lorazepam 2 times at the most a day and citalopram once daily

Hi Lindsey14...I can relate your situation with mine.. though I am using escitalopram 10mg. When I started that, initial 2 weeks were really bad with my mental status...lightheaded, loss of appetite, always fear of something...etc.. It took a good 6 weeks time for me to get back to normal.. so dont loose faith...stick on and wait for the meds to act and to get thedesired benefits
