Understanding that our lives are not about us is the connection point with everything else. It lowers the mountains and fills in the valleys that we have created, as we gradually recognize that the myriad forms of life in the universe are merely parts of the one life that ...[some]... call God. [twelve step literature say ‘higher power’ I think]. After such a discovery, we are grateful to be a part—and only a part! We do not have to figure it all out, straighten it all out, or even do it perfectly by ourselves. We do not have to be God [the higher power] It is an enormous weight off our backs. All we have to do is participate!

what do you think?
Alternatively all we have to do is trust God
That's certainly what I do
I know nothing
that's OK as long as I trust Jesus and God I am saved
so you don’t need to realize you are not God as long as you trust God?
I very much know I am not God x
how do you know?
Well I know that God is very much bigger than me?
I am a tiny speck compared to Him and yet He loves me and looks out for me
God knows everything basically
Gnosticism is the belief that you can become Godlike ? Have you heard of it ?
What religion are you if you don't mind me asking ?
My Dad was Jewish btw I am not 100% Anglo Saxon but 100% Christian
I do not identify with a specific religion. I know God is love as the apostle John wrote. I also know that gnosticism is about the belief that knowledge is god. Not that an individual is god: “ a prominent heretical movement of the 2nd-century Christian Church, partly of pre-Christian origin. Gnostic doctrine taught that the world was created and ruled by a lesser divinity, the demiurge, and that Christ was an emissary of the remote supreme divine being, esoteric knowledge whom enabled the redemption of the human spirit.”

Did the God you believe in cause the pandemic?
I'm impressed by your knowledge I don't know much about gnosticism
No the coronavirus is man made
Im so glad you know this! So may people blame God for everything! Such a scary God some have. When I was working on my masters I learned that I was basically a gnostic. I had a lot of spiritual work to do back then. Honestly, still do. 😏
How do you know god exists? The bible does not match a scientific timeline so.. if he created earth and all things then why was there pagans and other religious ideology b4 Christianity? Why no dinosaurs mentioned in bible? Why no prehistoric people?
I know God exists because of personal experiences over my lifetime. The Bible was never intended to be an historical piece of literature. Nor is it scientific. Shakespeare's plays are not historical but not without history. I have learned that God needs none to defend the existence and cause of love. If you look for love where it is, you will find love. Peace lives there too. There are no rose beds there. There is life.
