Corona virus cough

Hi all I’m very anxious I’ve had this cough for nearly two weeks now and it’s only now and again, but tonight it’s been all night non stop but only wen I lye down, bringing phlegm you all the time I’m so scared it’s Corona

Hello Hypo. If you simply have a bad cough, I really wouldn't worry about it. This is a link to a corona virus article. I would recommend you read the section where symptoms are explained.

If you are under 50 and have no problems with your immune system, then even on the off chance you have caught corona, you may be alright. Many people can recover on their own just like the regular flu. Since you have been displaying symptoms for two weeks now and haven't worsened, it most likely isn't corona, but I am no doctor.

I understand anxiety. It's horrible, but reading on some of the facts and if you read up on people's personal stories with the virus, it can help. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much, I really needed someone to talk to, I’m a really anxious person best off times and I know I’m being selfish but I just needed to post what I’m feeling, yea it’s been two weeks had a phone call off the doctor and he seems to think it’s upper sinuses infection but give me antibiotics just in case, it’s mainly at night wen I’m lying down can not stop coughing

Please, do not feel like you are being selfish. This is the once place we are allowed to talk about our problems. It's the whole point! I'm glad you talked to your doctor and he prescribed you antibiotics. Sometimes, with a bad stuffy nose and a cough, the drainage can irritate the throat. I bet it sucks, though! lol

It does suck lol the thing is now I’m sat up I’ve got no cough it’s really being to irritate me and set me off but just with your comment it’s made me feel at ease so thank you 🙏, I do feel like that sometimes cause I’ve got no one to talk to cause they all think I’m a hypochondriac (which I know iam) they just ignore me and say oh she’s at it again

Well just know that there's at least one person on this site that would be willing to talk to you. Whenever I make a post I normally get at least one reply. I hope you will be able to get some sleep with that cough!
