Is anyone else suffering from anxiety and depression due to this quarantine? I think me not being able to see my friends and family has my anxiety at an all time high. Any suggestions? I’ve been trying to play basketball

Can you contact friends and family on Skype, FaceTime or messenger? Seeing is believing sometimes so perhaps if u can see them it will bring calm to you? Otherwise just keep doing stuff to distract yourself and makes you feel at your most calm best...😊☀️🌷

I’ve been texting people but I don’t want to be a burden. I’m also very depressed. All I want to do is sleep and I’m afraid to because when I wake up I know my anxiety will hit me worse.

How is seeing ppl on Skype or whatever being a burden... they would be well aware of your need for reassurance. Did u think perhaps that giving you the calmness of seeing all are well is burdensome? I think your friends and family would be happy to provide u with calmness and reassurance!

Sounds like crap spinning saying you are a burden... instead of sleeping why not go for a walk? Exercise can change your mindset and give u some positive thoughts instead of isolating depressive ones! 😊☀️🌷

I agree...don’t feel like chatting on Skype with friends and family is a burden. I’m sure they would love to hear from you. Just tell them you miss them and feel like chatting. That sentence could never sound like a burden. Start the conversation out light.

Play charades on skype or another game. Learn a new skill/hobby on YouTube. Sometimes keeping your hands busy helps.

One thing to do is keep yourself busy, do some jigsaws, get into word search books, you can get those for $1 at the $ store, just be careful if you have to go out. Go on line there are Lots of games you can play. Read some books that will help educate you and fill in the hours. There is a lot you can do, just roam around in your head for something of interest. I just bought a book on Rock Painting, I did some about 16 years ago in a class and I loved it, so now I'll read the book, find out what I need as far a paint and supplies go and have fun.....In January before the virus got here I went to a class on Pine Straw Weaving, I made a nice little basket, that was fun. Ask your friends who know you for suggestions, they are probably going thru the same thing as you are.....Be kind to yourself, love and respect yourself, you deserve to be happy....Sending love n hugs...Sprinkle 1..

I truly appreciate everyone’s answers and suggestions. I ended up going to a facility for a couple over nights. I’ve been getting better over the week. I’m not where I want to be, but I’m doing much better. I’m taking it one day at a time
