Let’s have some fun

So last week I decided to post one fun question a week since we have a lot going on in our lives and it was kind of cool to hear y’all a answers, so let’s do it again. This weeks question is:

What was the first concert you ever went to?

My first concert was a Disney sing along concert which sounds dumb but was actually pretty cool.

Let’s hear y’all answers!

This kind of dates me, but it was New Kids on the Block.

Haha yea but that’s not a bad one for your first concert

Springsteen before he was anybody. He used to play on the beach in New Jersey, and in local clubs. So I don't know if that counts but it works for me.

Well I’m not sure mine counts either so it’s cool lol

Wow...That had to be something to see.

Actually he was just part of the landscape. No big deal. Now Clarence stood out.

Lollapalooza 1992.

Unfortunately my parents didn’t allow me any fun before I left home at 18, so I was 24 before I went to my first concert. Was worth the wait, I made up for it 10 fold. 🤣🤣

I went to my first one at 20 a year after I moved out and it was a Disney one so I understand that

Mine was The Monkees way back in '67 which really dates me! It was at Wembley in London and I was 13 and wore a gold dress with bell shaped sleeves. I thought I was the dogs bollocks! 😃 x

Lanadc88 profile image
Lanadc88 in reply toBay23

I’d love to see Ed Sheeran live or Meghan Trainor or ub40 but to be honest I think I’d go to anything I had the chance to just to say I’ve been to one lol

I saw Elton John in Madison Square Garden when he was still in costume. And the Grateful Dead in a field in Englishtown, NJ.

I saw Elton John in the later days. Would have loved to see him like that.

I saw the Stones and Aerosmith. Aerosmith we got soaked but it was awesome.

None, and I'm 46!😢😢😢

Mine was U2. Private seating in the box. Food and drinks served all night. That's the way to go to a concert. High style lol

U2 is one of my favorite bands. First time I saw them was when they toured for my favorite album The Joshua Tree in ‘87. I’ve seen them maybe four times since.

Fancy!

REM, Monster tour, 1995, Huddersfield Mcalpine stadium. Supported by Beautiful South.

Michael Stipe and Paul Heaton so talented but non of the BS and provado you get with so many bands/artists.

I think my first concert (at least, as an adult) was Tori Amos in 1994. A moment from the show I won't forget was her playing her 1992 cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, just a few months after Kurt Cobain's suicide. Her interpretation was already mournful-sounding, but it was even more so that night.

I think it was a movie score tribute by the Philadelphia Orchestra in the Kimmel Center. We had a box seat on the second or third tier.

Now this REALLY dates me! Diana Ross-anyone remember her?! Lol

Hi Bay23, my first outdoor concert was with Neil Diamond. I thought I was fortunate

in getting front row seats but with each puff he took from his cigarette during breaks,

it hit the front rows. When he started singing once again, the sound was more than I

could handle. Wasn't a good experience for me especially having anxiety at that time. :) xx

Lindsey Stirling was my first! She was amazing. My other concerts were more obscure bands because I was one of those “alternative” kids in high school and college lol

I have seen Pink Floyd twice, Paul Mcartney, Prince, Bruce Springstein, and loads of 60's acts who are still going. x
