tyrosine with prozac

does anyone have experience of taking prozac(60mg) with tyrosine supplement.it is supposed to increase dopamine levels in brain

What a coincidence - I was just googling tyrosine.

I tried taking tyrosine when I was on Prozac and it had zero effect on me. Nothing, zip, nada. I feel nothing at all. I have also tried in when I was on an SNRI and it also had no effect.

I am about to be put on Wellbutrin so I was googling to see if I could find out why Tyrosine hasn't worked, and whether I'd have the same result with Wellbutrin.

It seems you have to take B6, cysteine, folate, vitamin C, tyrosine and 5-HTP together. I've only just found this out, and haven't tried that (expensive?) combination for myself. Google Dr Kalish and tyrosine and you can read more about it.

By the way you won't be able to take 5-HTP when you're on Prozac because of the risk of Serotonin Syndrome (which can put you in hospital).
