About lexapro...

I've been on it for like almost 2 weeks now and I'm wondering how long it might take to work? I know everyone is different and reacts to medication differently but I'm just wondering how I'm supposed to know whether or not its working? Or if it's normal to have little to no side effects so far? I take 10 mg lexapro (1 daily).

I take 20 mg of Lexapro, it takes about two weeks to work, I’ve had no side effects at all. Take care

Your Dr. should have talked to you. It is my understand it can take 6 to 8 weeks for our brains to settle in on new medication. Yes we are all different, when my Dr. put me on Prozac 40 years ago, I noticed a difference in 2 weeks, and the side affects were minimal, after building up a tolerance to it, I was then put on Zoloft, it took a little time to click, and the side affects were minimal, again tolerance took me off that, for which I am sorry, I have been on other med's since and had an awful time.

I am now on Cymbalta 50 mg day, it has been a Big help and little or No side affects.

So hang in there, also a good source of information is your pharmacist they know So much about the med's that are prescribed. Hope this is of help. Sending you love and wishing you a Happy Valentine Day what is left of it. with hugs....Sprinkle 1.....
