This has been happening going on 2 days now and I’m terrified. I’m also on vacation and don’t want to ruin anyone’s time but I’m so scared but I just feel
Like I can’t breathe and like I’m just going to stop breathing

Dear mayaohh, what you may be experiencing is anxiety from being out of
your safety zone. Once we get fixated on a certain body part, our anxiety
can build to the point of causing discomfort. This is not dangerous nor harmful.
This feeling of being unable to take a full breath comes when our body gets
over anxious. The muscles in the diaphragm and upper stomach tighten causing
that sensation. It is not coming from the heart or lungs. You will not stop breathing
because your body does this automatically if you will let it.
Don't force your breath. Try bringing your shoulders down away from your ears
and relaxxxx Here is a short video on You Tube that will help put your breathing
back in sync. Find a quiet place to sit and listen.

You are safe mayaohh... Breathe...you are not alone xx
Mayaohh, what Agora1 says is correct. You can't stop breathing even if you tried, it's an automatic response of the nervous system and nothing can stop it.
Feeling breathless is a very common symptom of anxiety disorder, most of us have experienced it several times.
Vacations can be very stressful for some people specially if you're the one responsible for seeing everybody else has a great time.
I'm no doctor and when you get home certainly go discuss it with your doctor for 100% reassurance. But it's clear to this outsider that your breathlessness is anxiety driven.
So cease your terror and fear, there is no need for them, you are fine: this is anxiety brought on by the extra pressures of vacationing. You're not going to stop breathing or collapse gasping for aur, this symptom is fed by the fear you generate.
Instead of fearing this non-existent threat, just accept your breathlessness for the time being, it's only a feeling, nothing else, accept it and deny it the fear hormones that it feeds on and eventually it will pass.
Just make sure you enjoy the rest of your vacation. God does not want you back this week or next😊
I have the same manifestation of anxiety, but in order to be sure you should check with a medic
