I am alone alot. I retired and do not know how to make friends. Sometimes i feel as though nothing makes sense. Sort of confusion. I have suffered from depression all my life to a certain degree but this is more profound.

Yes being retired does often tend to leave us adrift. I moved from West coast to East Coast, knew no one here. I have been here 14 years, had one friend, he died last Aug. I find making friends as we get older is Not easy. A lot of people are set in their ways, have family ties, or illnesses or busy playing golf or have a part time job.

I do volunteer work at our local library and love it. There are lots of volunteer opportunity's, so that is something you could check out, find yourself some time consuming hobbies, go to the local schools or college's, they offer classes, never know when you might meet someone you gel with. I wish you well, I am well and happy, I exercise, do Yoga, work in my garden, read a lot, find your happyness it is out there. Sending courage, a purpose, love & hugs......Sprinkle 1.....
