Does anybody else find that their anxiety fades away (momentarily) when you're caught up in a moment?
This child of mine keeps me on my toes, and there are days (when anxiety is crippling me) that I feel like I'm failing her. Then there are days when it all melts away, and I am me again, if only for a while.

I can relate. I feel like I am failing my daughter and it hurts to know the pain she will face in life. We can just do our best and hope it's enough. Relish these moments mom. You are doing a great job.
So true. If you're extremely busy, for instance, you don't have enough time to realize your anxiety. It's interesting though, if you're particularly too anxious or depressed, it's impossible to function enough to be busy.
Regardless, we had a snow day on Friday and schools were closed. Even if it's just a fleeting minute, just this little change can be an island in an otherwise angry sea.
Indeed. That is also what mindfulness is intended to achieve - to still the anxious heart. The monks and nuns were onto something with their days/weeks... of prayer.
You can never fail your child when you take her in your arms, look her directly and the eye and unconditionally say, “I love you.” She’ll always remember that. Now that I would say is success. ❤️
