Welcome. Many of us are familiar with the "get over it" attitude and, speaking for myself, I would love to. I've searched for the magic wand, with no luck.

I also love the "What are you depressed about" question?

After being diagnosed with depression/anxiety/ptsd, I went for professional help (psychiatrist and counselor). With meds and therapy, I'm recovering as somewhat stable.

Hi, I'm so happy you're here friend! I prefer to inhabit the present - I can't change the past, however painful and traumatic it was. Through being present, I don't think much about the past anymore. I just deal with the depression and anxiety the past caused and I tell myself I have control over how this goes.

Welcome to the group! I am all too familiar with the "get over it" attitude. So frustrating when people don't even at least try to understand or at the very least take your word for what is going on and be of support.
