Coming out of a major episode

Hi I’m new here, and I’m struggling with how to assimilate myself back into my lifestyle. I don’t know if that makes sense. I’m a second year undergrad, and I suffered from a major depressive episode, one of my lowest ever. I lost all motivation and fell so behind in classes, but now here I am kind of coming out of the episode and finding myself in a totally different hole I’ve dug. If anyone has any advice on how they slowly but surely woke up that motivation inside of them, I’m all ears!

We never go backwards. If you want to stay on the same track you were on sometimes you have to take a different route. I stayed in the medical field despite issues. I took breaks and alternated learning institutions. I stayed in therapy and made sure I also started a new mindless hobby for my brains health. That’s very important.

Every day is a new one. A hurdler does not go back a jump the last hurdle twice. Keep pressing forward. Drive your therapist nuts and stay verbal in groups or online. Keep it outside; not in.

Strength and peace to you

Hi, you are just feeling overwhelmed. Fear of the future fear of not being useful.

I know because I am trying to come out of a year long episode. I am so anxious all the time.

Anxiety disorder is so serious. It rules you.

If you are able to go outside more that helps. The winter weather brings us up and down.

Pet adoption also helps. If I didn't have my 2 dogs .........I think I would have ended up in the mental ward already. They give me happiness.

I think everyone at some point goes through anxiety disorder and a major depression at some point in their lives.

I am battling Agoraphobia.

Its next if you dont go seek a therapist.

Go walk I was gardening to help my anxiety.

Now its bitter winter.

You may be not sure that this curriculum you are taking is for you.

Do what you need .

I pray you feel better.

Vitamins help. Do not drink alcohol it only leads you to depression.
