Going through anxiety and depression again after being well for 3 years and this time it's harder. Back on the same meds as before but don't seem to feel better. Trying to explain depression to my fiance has been so hard.

Hi Tearyeyed.
Why did you quit your meds?
I did it with my Dr and therapist I stayed on Wellbutrin but quit the Lexapro because I thought I had it under control using meditation techniques and they did work for almost 2 years but I got into a very stressful situation and I started having panic attacks again where I would be at desk and get so overwhelmed I wanted to cry and crawl under it. Then the not wanting to leave the house started. That's when I reached out to the Dr for help.
Sounds like something triggered you back into depression. Give the old meds a shot but don't hesitate to push for a med change and be sure not to wait more than a month or so. It might be you need to stay on meds as a maintenance measure. I'm so sorry you're experiencing this my friend.
