I wish I was Elsa.....

How can I let things go? I just can’t seem to relax and let things flow.

Sometimes I know I can overthink things and what not.

I’ve been writing more lately. But my need to keep bringing up the same topic over and over is even getting on my own nerves. It doesn’t matter what it is; I keep it up. How do I stop? I just feel I need resolution which I don’t get sometimes.

Sometimes I feel I’m my own worst enemy.

I wish the same thing. I can’t seem to let go of negative thoughts. I’ve journaled about it and I scheduled an Appt with a counselor. I don’t know what else to do.

The same here. Counsellors; work books; meditation; I just can’t get it. It’s frustrating.

I think it is hard to let go of something that bothers us so much. I know there are things I cannot just let go of.

Hang in there… It’s hard to break that cycle but it is possible. It’s a function of neural plasticity. It’s like the wires in your brain are so tangled with that thought it keeps running it over and over again the only way to break that tangle meant is to force yourself to stop every time you start thinking about it and redirect think about something else and you’ll start to form new neural connections. The longer you have created that pattern the harder it will be in the longer it will take but I can always be undone and rerouted

I completely agree with you. Think how you learn something by repeatedly doing it. The answer is to interrupt those thoughts and that way eventually you think about them less and less. You are retraining the brain.

Long ago whenever I thought something negative ie you are so lazy for getting up so late I immediately follow it with a positive such as well done for getting up at all when feeling so lousy. It's such an automated pattern now that I am not usually aware I am doing it, but know it's part of my healing x
