I do believe it is anxiety. It feels scary and it is very real but harmless. But I don’t want to tell you not to go to the e.r because I am not a professional. I am simply talking based on my personal experience. Stress and intense anxiety do cause chest pain, nausea, abdominal pain. It all depends on the individual.
I wouldn’t worry about it but then again If you feel like it’s abnormal or it does worry you maybe you could take an appointment with your doctor if you have one. Do what you think is best for you. Once again, I’d like to let you know that it is really possible that it is just anxiety and nothing more. It is a common thing with anxiety and stress, it does manifest itself physically as well as mentally.
Try deep breath and hold them in then release. Probably you are tense and your muscles are contracted, pay attention to this and maybe it will help.
Sorry you’re dealing with this I hope you’re feeling a bit better💕💖I think the deep breathes are a good idea and talk to your dr. & see what they think?
As a mental health professional can I ask you some questions? ( I have been battling anxiety and depression since 20 years ago but I have some knowledge that might help you). Regards
It sounds like anxiety. Having an attack of anxiety can cause all of these symptoms. The ER is not the best place to go if you are having a panic attack. That is my experience. I am assuming you don't have a history of medical problems that might cause these symptoms. The ER is a place for people who are having true medical emergencies. A better idea is to see your primary care doctor and explain the symptoms you are having, and the effect they are having on your life. There are many excellent books and resources for dealing with anxiety, such as Claire Weekes Hope and Help for Your Nerves. Good luck. You are not alone.
