Earlier this year I started venlafaxine/Effexor. Symptoms were awful - excessive sweating, yawning, irritability. Changed to Sertraline/Zoloft around May. Again, symptoms are awful. Sweating to the point I have scabs on my scalp. Diarrhea on a daily basis. Should I detox or switch to something else? I would rather try something holistic.

Never just stop taking an antidepressant. You have to taper off slowly or you will get very bad withdrawal symptoms. I would talk to your doctor and tell them you wish to taper off. I am sorry you have had bad experiences with the two medications you have taken. It took me several years before I found an antidepressant I could tolerate.
