Irritation

I get annoyed easily. I hate when people always try to cheer me up by making jokes and what not. It irritates me when I respond to someone a certain way and they immediately ask me if I am mentally doing okay. I am bipolar but it bothers me when people hint to me that I am having bipolar “moments”. I don’t know if anyone can relate or not but I just had to say what was on my mind.

I get this all the time from my family and I always have to remind them, just like them sometimes I'm just not in a good mood it doesn't mean I'm depressed or having one of my days or missed a pill (haven't taken medication in over a year), I can just be in a bad mood. Such a pain in the butt.

I’m sure that can be annoying, but they’re just trying to ensure you’re taking care of yourself. Did your Dr. release you from your medications? Maybe they’re seeing odd behavior that you don’t realize. Try not to fault them for caring. You’re right, we all have good and bad days but if you’re having multiple bad days and are not handling them well, you should maybe just check with your Dr to be sure you’re good without the meds. Life is a roller coaster of emotions and trials, but it’s tougher when you’re bipolar. It requires extra care and attention. I’m sure that’s all your family and friends are trying to give. Praying for sound mind, patience and God’s never ending love and grace.
