Sounds very much like the symptoms of high anxiety about starting your new job and working generally. It doesn't mean you are some sort of mental case, everybody feels a bit nervous about starting a new job. It just means that in your case that natural anxiety is stronger than most people.
There is no need to stress and obsess about these symptoms uncomfortable though they may be. Just accept they are 'nerves' and nothing abnormal. They cannot develop into some serious physical illness or anything like that. If the symptoms become too troublesome have a word with your doctor who may prescribe something to relieve your nausea and diarhea (no I can't spell it either).
This will not affect your ability to work: as you settle into your new job and feel more confident your anxiety levels will go down and these symptoms will disperse.
So please do not worry, you're going to be o.k.
Hi smuzzy and welcome to the forum. Anxiety is natural when you start something new especially a job. You can try some relaxation techniques( deep breath exercises etc...) before you go into work. You can also try visualization. Go through the day in your mind and have the day go in a calm, efficient way. Give yourself time to learn the job and get to know the people. Say positive things to yourself throughout the day. You will be fine.
Well hello! Welcome. There’s a nerve that goes from your brain directly to your gut. That’s why so many people with anxiety have gut problems. Try a little bismuth or whatever settles your stomach down before you go. I’ve even used Dramamine in a pinch. It’s the vagal nerve. Give yourself some relief. I’m proud of you for trying.
