I've been to the doctor and he told me that I need to take one type of antidepressant, one antipsychotic and an anxiolytic but I'm not sure about it, I hear that it has side effects and also I can end been dependant to that type of meds... If you don't mind to share, could you tell me what have your experiences been with taking antidepressants/antipsychotics/anxiolytics?

I'm on a few categories of meds and I feel they have helped settle my emotions. Meds gave me the ability to focus on therapy.
I was hesitant to start meds. But having quality of life was more important than the names of drugs I ended out taking. I take what I need for a balanced life.
I still get anxious and depressed at times but certainly have a better quality of life than I did before meds.
I have tried one anyipsychotic called Aripriprazole but I only took it for 3 days and it started my epilepsy off so I stopped taking it.
Ihave tried and tested all antisepressants apart from Prozac and Clomipramine because I am epileptic it interferes with my anti-epilepsy medication so I now take Escitalopram for my OCD over the last 8 years but in the last 3 years my dosage was increased from 20 to 30mg. I tried Pregabalin which didn't agree with me in the end and I had to come off it last Christmas. So I just take Escitalopram now.
