I’m hoping for some advice. Taking escitalopram (lexapro) and it’s done wonders for me after 4 months but annoying side effects seem to have become a permanent fixture. Jaw clenching and yawning and this resulting in yaw ache and sore mouth! Anyone had this? Will it go? Any recommendations to help? I really don’t want to give up the meds if I can avoid it and I can live with with the side effects but would be interested to hear about anyone else whose got stuck with this too!
🤔 maybe you are grinding your teeth in your sleep? You could see a dentist and get it checked out. If you are grinding in your sleep they can make a night guard that can relieve the pain.

Think I am at night and in daytime - annoying! Hope it settles down. I will look into a mouth guard. Thanks very much 😊
Hello there, I take 20mgs of lexapro. I grind my teeth also. Get a mouth guard. If you get one from the store, make sure you get the one that you don't have to boil or whatever to fit your mouth. The ready to use one is better. Cost about $35 bucks. I would say if lexapro is working well for you, keep taking it. BLESSINGS
Do not give up on your AD it’s the cleanest one on the market, I was in the Priory 8 years ago and continue to see my Doctor at the clinic he is a great one for mixing different drugs, and without a doubt Lexepro still comes out as the one the Priory prefer.
Thanks very much. I don’t plan to give up anytime soon. Just get on top of the (what are really minor) SEs compared to the GAD!! It took much longer than the 4-6 weeks they generally say, to know that it was a good one for me though. 8-10 weeks really for all the GAD to go 😊
Well done!! I had 5 years on Lexepro, then they just stopped! So I went on To Zoloft for 3 years now back on Lexepro I workout a lot and they don’t make me knackered
