Hi yes I do particularly anxiety. I am always surprised and horrified especially about the numher of young people these days who suffer from anxiety. I think there is too much pressure on youngsters to achieve. x

Statiscally yes....and as there is so much chaos in government, who were supposed to be in place to keep the peace and help the people .....it's become a very jaded outlook socially, and the disconnection with everyone living on their cellphones has alienated personal interaction considerably. People need to feel connected, and althought he good internet has done in helping people connect to others, it's also created a world of false personnas and indifference too. Many feel there is no secure future or hope. But we can change that, by learning empathy, and thinking out side our own world we have created for ourselves on the internet....in the real world is where things can be changed.

yes it can be....but I am also of the belief that where there is a will there is a way, and you have to carve out your own path, no one is going to do that for us. It is a hard road but when you consider what it was like in the US in the 30's during the depression, we still have it better. But nothing in life for most of us is easy, and when you have mental issues to boot, we have it even harder. But we can make it.

Hello

Yes I think it is on the rise and I reckon the Internet might have something to do with it.

I'm not so sure that it is on the rise. I believe more people seek help today whereas when I was younger there was more of a stigma attached to suffering with any mental illness so many people felt too ashamed to ask for help so they just had to get on with it and suffer in silence. We are lucky that today there is more help and also many famous people are opening up about there own mental health issues which takes away a lot of the stigma.

In UK.they seem to want more and more people to come forward and identify as mentally ill.

I was born in the 60s. Working class kid. Parents had little money as did the neighbors. No pressure to own your home or the best car. You just got by. The world now is all about what you can achieve, being a winner not a loser. Meanwhile businesses are squeezing for more profits but want to do it while under staffed. Social media keeps the pressure on your lifestyle. No wonder then , that not just anxiety but asthma and heart issues going up. I'm glad I grew up when the world was simple. Trouble is that I see and feel the difference. Sometimes I feel like an alien when I look around me.

Cars everywhere polluting the air we breathe they never have a go at that do they
