Hi dear...you are definitely not going crazy. Having an anxiety attack can alter

your taste buds, giving you a metallic effect, a regurgitation taste. It's all a part

of our system that goes out of whack when in the throws of anxiety.

It is all quite normal and nothing will happen to you.

How are you feeling right now with the anxiety? xx

That's good that you didn't have a foul taste when you woke up.

Sounds like it triggered your anxious thoughts and this time it picked

your taste buds. Anxiety will always test us. Please try to do some

deep breathing. Make sure you aren't dehydrated by sipping on some

water. Sometimes when we fall asleep and we are anxious, we sleep

with our mouth open, drying out the tongue and back of throat.

You are okay. You are safe. There are plenty of us on right now so you're

not alone. xx

Im just so scared i just came from the er a few days ago...They said i had GERD but im not tasteing acid or nun

But that's good that you aren't tasting anything acidic. Many times

anxiety makes GERDS worse and you get that acidic taste.

May I ask if the ER doctor put you on anything for your reflux??

No meds, No GERDS, No Taste...

Should be No Problem. But I am not a doctor.

As from the anxiety standpoint, it sounds more

like you got focused on GERDS because you don't

seem to have the symptoms of it. It would be best

to give your doctor a call tomorrow to relieve your

doubts and fears about what you are feeling.

Let us know what he says. What if you brush your

teeth now so that you can have the fresh clean taste

of the toothpaste. xx
