I currently take 60mg Prozac daily but would like to wean/taper off of it. Has anyone done this before? How did you wean? And did you have any side effects/withdrawals??

Hi, I have weaned off meds by just slowly lowering the dosage every week. It takes time. You may have side effects and should probably ask your doc.

It is never a good idea to begin weaning oneself of medication without speaking to your doctor first.

I would seek the advice of your doctor. Some of the side effects can be pretty bad. Slowly taper is a good idea but how slow over how long a period. Too quick and things can get real dicey.
