That bully goes between anxiety and up to panic lately. Therapist says I have to get out in the world at least a couple of times each week. Meds make me sick.
I'm resistant. Don't want to go out there and have people see me with my walker, having problems breathing. I don't want to experience this new me, suffering day and night.

Full disclosure I've posted this as a reply before but I feel it's true so here goes....... You still have lots of options and ways forward with this 👍 I went through a few different meds and now I'm on fluoxitine. However, there are also lots of treatments that don't involve meds. I know this sounds nuts but I try to label my anxiety as excitement. If you think about it, the physical sensations and response are the same for fear/panic as they are for excitement. Crazy right??? But so true! ❤️ The only difference is the label. Excitement is acceptable, and maybe you can get comfortable with the panic. It may take some time and it definitely takes a lot of work but you can do it XXX also, when you feel the panic starting, ask yourself what is ACTUALLY happening. Answer yourself too inside your own head. X
Apparently holding an ice cube or splashing cold water on your face can snap you out of a panic attack. I haven't tried it myself, but learned it from DBT techniques (Marsha Linehan). In my experience, as hard as it is, getting out there is really a good way to fight anxiety. Best wishes to you.
