To the One who made the earth:
We surely need you.
To the Keeper of the stars:
We've lost our way.
To the One who bore the sun:
How long in darkness will we run
before we see the break of day?
To the One who made the eye:
I know You're watching
while we stumble over stones
that we have thrown.
To the One who hung the moon:
why can't we learn to follow you;
reflecting light the Son has shown?
To the One who lifted up the highest
heaven where even peaks of
mountains seem so low,
To the One who pours the rain
to quench the thirst of living things,
Can you bring a morning mist
to soothe our souls?
To the One who formed the ear:
I know You hear me.
I'm crying out the best way I know how.
To the One who heals the broken heart
providing hope for a brand new start:
Could it be too late to start over now?
To the One who made our hands:
Why are we not reaching?
Instead, we use them to abuse
or to deflect our blame,
and, if You house the birds
and spread their wings;
even give them all a song to sing
then I know, for your children,
You'll do the same.
To the one Who made the earth:
We surely need You,
To the Keeper of the stars:
We’ve lost our way..
