Hoping for some advice

I have really bad OCD I can’t even sleep, I will literally stay up all night if I’m fixated on something. Mine is more about arranging and symmetry and literally everything bothers me. I just don’t have anyone to talk to and need to hear from people that can relate and maybe help me.

Many who reject medications for this problem will disagree with me on this. However, I was like you. When I did manage to fall asleep, I was disturbed by dreams and in and out of consciousness. Very irritating to wake up two hours early worrying about things that you can't do anything about at that hour anyway. So, I turned on to Ambien and Xanax at bedtime. I also take my Atenolol for my blood pressure, and Gabapentin if my neuropathy is acting up. As I'm beginning to fade for the night, I slip on my CPAP with oxygen and drift gently into dream land. I always awake to find my problems waiting for me in the morning, but at least I'm well rested and perhaps inspired to tackle them with a refreshed mind.

I have a bit of a problem too. It takes me 45 minutes to take a shower because I have to do everything perfectly. So I don’t take a shower often because it’s so hard. I also stay up late sometimes working with my medical records and making outlines of my illnesses and symptoms and medications in case I am re-evaluated for my Social Security Disability. I think I should talk to my Psychiatrist about it. Have you?

No I haven’t talked to anyone about this I’m young so I don’t know where to go

I would recommend asking your regular doctor. Tell him or her what’s going on and ask for a referral to a Psychiatrist.

Ya thank you. I know I should I’m just super uncomfortable talking about it

You are already going through hell dealing with the OCD. Asking the Dr. for help will be a breeze compared to one day of that I’m sure. Remember doctors have heard it all. They won’t judge you.

Are you religious at all bc you could hand everything over to God - what seems like a mountain to you is nothing at all to God

You should try evening primrose oil capsules and flaxseed oil

Also look at the worst case scenario

I hope you improve soon sending you support and prayers x
