Am i the only person who wears my Apple Watch religiously so that i can keep a watch on my pulse, or keep my phone close by because I’m afraid I’ll have a medical emergency and won’t have it near.
Is it just me.: Am i the only person... - Anxiety and Depre...
Is it just me.
Hi Jess , I can relate !
I bought an expensive Fitbit so I could keep track of my heart rate !
I used to keep one oximeter in the car and another one at home so I could check my heart rate and compare with my Fitbit 😳. Plus I was obsessed with my blood oxygen level and BP .
Today , I actually found a Costco pack of batteries in my car . I bought it just in case my oximeter ran out of batteries and I was faraway from home .
I am actually doing much better ! Hang in there , try to learn new coping skills and you will catch yourself checking your pulse less often ! ❤️
This is the worst thing I’ve ever been through. I hate when I’m feeling anxious i always feel like I’m having a heart attack.
Yesss , that is exactly how I feel !!!
When I was at the ER once a nurse told me to remember how many times I felt like that and how many times it was only anxiety .
Easier said than done , right ?!
At the same time , I also agree that all the times I felt like I was having a heart attack , it was only anxiety .
I think we get stronger after every battle with anxiety ! At least I would like to think that !
Today , My son is really sick with the flu and after trying to lower his fever I couldn’t so I took him to the doctor . So scary ! My chest was hurting sooooo much ! I was expecting I would collapse at any time but I didn’t !
You are not alone Jess !! ❤️
Are you seeing a therapist or taking any medication for your anxiety ?
This was me my doctor recommended I get rid of it cuz it was an addiction to me constantly checking and I would have my blood pressure cuff with me to It’s been going on two months that i haven’t had it and it’s the best decision for me
I’m thinking I’m going to have to get rid of my Apple Watch. I’m constantly check my pulse and my blood pressure with my cuff i have at home. Ever little ache and pain scares me so i obsess over it. I’ve been to a cardiologist and my gp and both ekg were normal so this has to all be in my head.
I do actually have medical problems but the pulse checking and my blood pressure cuff is unnecessary cuz I had all the test to for my heart and it perfect they said and my blood flow in my body
Yes It was the best decision and it’s helping me in my anxiety journey to get better sometimes when I couldn’t find my watch to put it on I would go crazy and i even broke my pulse reader I had to and no longer use them anymore trust me it will benefit you in the long run I’m the same way every little I feel in my body I freak out and think I’m going to die but I’m still I have some scares of actual medical problems but I’m learning to just take a deep breath and take it a day at a time and accept what i do have
i have a similar fear to yours(not with the apple watch), but definitely not the same. i fear not having my phone close by (not even because of me) because i’m afraid i’ll get a call from a hospital saying one of my relatives is there or my dog was sick and is at the vet. just 30 minutes ago i got a call from a number that i didn’t have saved, and my mind immediately went to weird places. about the apple watch, maybe you should try not wearing it all the time? having it there, even if you tell yourself you won’t check, will tempt you to check. hope you’re doing well
