Mindfullness/Meditation

I did not think meditation was something I could do. Sitting still with my emotions instead of distracting myself seemed like a better idea. But I have in to my therapists and tried some APPS I liked. Smiling Mind is free and gives you short small mindfulness practices. I also like the guy’s voice. The other APP I like is Headspace. You have to pay for this one. But I really like that it has different courses. Like self esteem, acceptance, restless and sleep. It has many to choose from. Also, this dude’s voice is pleasant. A basic app is Breathe2Relax. You just turn it on for guided breathing. My therapist also recommended Insight Timer. It’s free but it’s kind of complicated and has many coaches and not really tracks. I really like the ones with courses because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Again, I was really sceptic but it has helped. So give it a shot.

I agree with you Mourningmule in that meditation of an kind really works

if practiced and applied. The voice is the most important thing to me as

it guides me into a quiet respite. Thank you for sharing. :) xx
