I'm new to anxiety. I've had a few attacks of heart beating through chest and so many negative thoughts. It feeds my depression that seems to have been my constant companion forever. Feel like I"m sinking in quicksand. The more I try to get out, the more I sink.

Hi River3507, Welcome to the support forum.
You know over time, I found that the more we fight, the deeper we sink.
One of the books that may help you get a better grip on your anxiety and
depression is Dr. Claire Weekes book on "Hope & Help for Your Nerves"
It goes on the theory of Acceptance being the key in alleviating the symptoms
that make our anxiety grow. We can't help but feel depressed when our
companion is forever feeding us negativity. I'm glad you are here with us.
I think you will find through others who share their journeys, that this doesn't
have to be a forever situation. Looking forward in chatting with you. xx
Good Morning from Chicago, River3507
I woke up to a Winter Wonderland of Snow today. Unexpected
but beautiful in it's own right. Just stopping by and wishing you
well. We are only a message away. You are not alone xx
Hi there, thanks for joining as this is a great place to express how you are feeling. I sometimes feel as if I take one step forward to get ahead in life just to get knocked back 4 steps. It sometimes feel as if I can't do enough to get ahead in life but I don't give up. Every day I wake up, I know its a new day and a new beginning. I choose to forget the past and focus on the present and try not to worry about the future. Its hard but it has helped me a lot. I spend time with my family too and that helps. Surround yourself with people who will help support you, care for you, and love you. Don't isolate yourself. Keep posting your progress and take things one day at a time.
Your not alone I completely understand instant message me if you ever need some one to talk too
