Thoughts a little better, but still have behavioral problems

I’ve been feeling pretty low for the past few months. I feel like I hit complete bottom a couple weeks ago. Stopped exercising, hobbies, eating, eating healthy, dropped out of school, stopped talking to “friends”, problems with family. The only thing I’ve done was start with a therapist online. I was thinking about dying almost everyday and I would just wake up everyday with the negative thoughts that would berate my mind all day. I still feel very low, but after I tried taking some lithium ororate and epa(fish oil) my severe negative thoughts and dread reduced a lot. I don’t here that voice in my head as much, and I still have negative thoughts, but they don’t upset me as much. Now that I’m feeling a little better, I still can’t really get myself to do things. Still I don’t really want to eat, exercise, anything. I’m just fine with being alive. I know I need to change but I can’t. I feel stuck.

I felt the need to chime in despite being a bit tired and short on words. I think the best thing you can do is set some small goals. I'm in the same boat as you...I was doing all of these great things for myself, stopped, and now my motivation/energy level just won't seem to take "batteries" to juice back up. I started making small goals like: today I will go outside and take a five minute stroll. Just making that small commitment and fulfilling it will feel good in that you achieved something, but it will also increase your energy levels to get a little more active. As the activity in your life increases, one would hope so does the energy levels. Many of us often overload ourselves and make things more complicated. Like...today I'm going to go for a long job for thirty minutes so I can get into shape. We need to take small steps and feel the achievements. The steps can increase with time. It sounds like you're doing a great job with everything else. I might recommend seeing a doctor or therapist in person if possible. Getting out, even just for an appointment, is also helpful. I don't know if you're on medication or not or if you even need it, but it might be worth checking out. I know exactly where you are on the other parts...I started by making a small list of chores I've been meaning to get to for awhile. Now, I'll do ONE a day and check it off. I feel good knowing I did something and better physically for having exerted myself (such as when I mowed my yard). Just some thoughts...it sounds like you're doing a really good and things are turning around. Keep it up, keep it simple, and let us know how you're doing. Take care for now!

Sorry to hear life has you down right now. I agree with everything Veritas9983 said. I agree with taking one step at a time and not over doing it. For me it's so hard to get going after having an off day, week or month. But I think the mentality of just do it, do it anyway, do what I can - even if it's just ONE thing helps to get you out of the rut. I'd also recommend finding something you love doing and are passionate about, painting, reading, hiking maybe? And reconnect with friends. I hope each day gets a little easier for you to ignore the voices bringing you down and listen and hear the voices encouraging you and cheering you on. Focus on where you want to be and get there one day, one step at a time.
