I'm having some issues today and just need someone to talk to or vent.
I'm epileptic, and while I haven't had a seizure in many years, the physical brain damage I have has been starting to give me really bad headaches again. When they happen, all I can do is lay in the dark until they pass, which could take anywhere from 15 mins to eight-ten hours. This is causing me to miss work lately (like today) and put my job in jeopardy. Which sucks because I really like my job.
Does anyone else have a similar problem and if so, how do you deal with it? I'm tired of what seems like setback after setback.

I'm sorry. I get headaches for days on end. Most days I work but I did take some time off this week. It sucks. It's so hard to work and parent with a bad headache. I have no solution but I feel for you.
I don’t know what to tell you about your headaches because thank God that is one issue I don’t have I have had a migraine a few times where everything from the side of my eyes closed in like tunnel vision and I couldn’t keep my eyes open because the light was so bright. I felt nauseous all the sudden and was hugging the toilet for a while I was at work someone had to drive me home from work I went right to bed and fell asleep after about 4-5 hours I was fine after that **so if I had to deal with this all the time I couldn’t imagine. Have you seen a doctor I have heard they have medication for that but again I don’t know anything about it. Please don’t stop looking for relief. Hope you feel better
If you have a documented medical reason for missing work, that may help you to keep your job. In some places, there are laws to protect people with medical issues. I suggest working with your doctor to make sure your condition is completely documented, in case you are really worried about your job.
Hi Bebop,im really sorry to hear about what you're going through! I wish i could give you some advice but I'm going to ask for your advice, although I definitely agree that having a medical certificate from a doctor to give to.your boss is a great idea! So my daughter has had roughly ten seizures starting a year ago; she is 16 and is now diagnosed with epilepsy and sees a specialist regularly and takes 500mg of keppra twice a day but still has seizures every 4-6 weeks. Anyway she has noticed that her long term memory is severely affected and her short term memory is terrible after a seizure. Also her moods have been really awful for her, sometimes feels depressed and sometimes really angry but being very intelligent she can express it well and has good self control.. I feel so bad for her and sometimes I think it's the meds that affect her (wondering if they're even worth it) but could be the seizures affecting her brain. This is all new to us , if you have any advice on how I can support her ;as someone who knows firsthand what it's like thatd be great ;completely understand if you don't want to ❤️
