Slow thinking,brain fog, memory loss, distracted

i have all the above symptoms for last 6 years. I am taking antidepressants and antianxiety meds ,that are not helping me in these domains.Anyone having the same set of symptoms,can share their experience over here . Thanks

lasthope12, this is only my experience with all the symptoms you have described. I too

at one time had the same issues. I had been on antianxiety medication for years. Once

they no longer worked and anxiety broke through, I decided the time had come for me

to be weaned off these meds. They had done their job for more years than I could have

expected. Once my doctor took me off my benzos, I became clear headed and was

amazed how the medication contributed to the way I thought and felt. (but then again,

that was it's job)

I am a true believer that there is a time and place for meds to be taken along with having

therapy. Just know what the trade off would be. Having a talk with your psychiatrist

may alleviate some of the concerns you are having. Follow his orders, never come off

medication on your own. It might not be the right time for you. Only your doctor knows

your health history and can make that call. xx
