Health anxiety- physical symptoms

Is it normal to feel multiple physical symptoms from my anxiety? It seems like this week I have felt a new one everyday, and it’s been only that symptom for the day. One day my eyes were blurry and sore, the next I had a bad headache, today it’s that my joints feel sore in my knees and arms and hands. It’s so frustrating!!

Please share your experiences and symptoms with me, it helps so much to read everyone else’s symptoms on here and puts me at ease so much.

I should probably also mention that I started Lexapro 4 days ago- does this cause any physical symptoms? I refuse to google things anymore.

These are new symptoms and I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the new environment I’m in now, but, my head is clogged/pressure, burning feet/legs/arms, lots of tension..

Farfromcalm, it is very normal to feel different physical symptoms on a daily basis.

It's one of the ways Anxiety keeps it's control over us. It keeps us in a state of doubt,

fear and tension throughout our body. How can we not feel discomfort and pain when

we have an over sensitized nervous system that keeps us wondering what will be next.

I too, am on Lexapro. I have been on it for 5 years and doing well. It's possible some of

your physical symptoms may be caused from the medication. As your body gets use

to the med and your brain chemistry changes, things should settle down for you.

Since you have started medication, it might be a good idea to start looking for other

alternatives that you can use to quiet down your mind/body. I go to YouTube everyday

and do Meditation and Deep Breathing. It helps prevent the adrenaline from peaking. It

you do this daily, it will bring down the intensity of your symptoms.

I'm glad to see you don't google. You're not alone. xx
