Hi, this is my first time posting, I didn't even know sites like this were a thing until today. I had the worst day at work, I tried hard to keep the tears in until I got to my car but I couldn't help it. I spent the next 45 minutes sobbing because of how badly I was treated at work today. I work in a restaurant/bar and it takes a lot of energy to deal with as many people per day I see. I always feel like I need to be the person to help others feel acknowledged and know that people care but I end up suffering. I focus on others so they won't feel like I do when I get really down. How do people separate things or remind themselves that its not your job to support everyone, the only thing you need to worry about how you feel.

I didn’t know sites like this were a thing until recently too.
It’s relieving to have this place.
I’m sorry for your awful work day experience & for your suffering.
Releasing our tears is so important.
I hope tomorrow is a better day.
Hi PuppyReader, when I'm at work, It's like I wear a mask. Everyone says I'm the happy smiley lady, but no one knows what I'm going thru inside, they have no idea. I am always busy trying to help everyone else, I really enjoy being helpful. I'm sorry you're having a hard time at work and I hope things will improve for you.
