Gabapentin / Lyrica

Hi

Started taking gaba for migraine aura and some RLS but my main issue is anxiety and not sleeping due to nerve sensations across my body back and legs. Some depresin now too.

When I move around the nerve pain its not so bad but when lying still it's awful. My brain stems seems to be on high alert.

Anyone any experience of Gabapentin to help anxiety and sleep? I've been on 200mg for 3 weeks and tbh I reckon it's made my anxiety worse, maybe helped sl with sleep. But it's made me tearful - does this pass. If I went up to 300mg would it help? How does pregabalin/ lyrica compare?

You need to allow the medications time to work and take affect, consider five or six weeks. It is important to be patient and give your tablets time to help you and your condition.
