I take the generic for Ativan, but I usually take it during the day. Are you worried about taking it?

I have taken .5mg 4 times in the last 10 days and it always seemed to work but tonight it dont seem like it is. I was just wondering if you ever had to increase the dose to get results. I'm only supposed to take as needed.

I also take .5 mg tablets, and I sometimes use it for sleeping. I wouldn't increase the dose without checking with my doc first. Believe me, I know insomnia is no fun, but I think you should play it safe here and ask your doc first if it's okay to increase the dose.

Have you been taking adivan long? But that's the thing I have no problem falling asleep without the anxiety meds its staying asleep. As soon as I fall asleep at some point usually it's as long as one can hold their breath I wake up from not breathing gasping and it's scary. It goes away after a few seconds and I'm able to breath. I will fall asleep again and it will do this until I take something. Most nights I do fine but it seems like its becoming more frequent sometimes 2 nights a week.

I've been taking Ativan for a few years, during the day for anxiety as needed. I think you should tell your doctor about your sleep and breathing problems, and let him or her decide what to do.
